Support Tip - Rebooting

We get a lot of calls at Accusport asking about various errors when trying to use the Vector Pro. Some of these errors include:

  • "Firmware Warning” Firmware is not compatible with this version of software
  • AccuSport ‘A’ logo does not turn green even though the hardware drivers are installed
  • Unit will not capture a shot and ‘Advanced Mode’ will not open
  • Vector Pro consistently flashing

In most circumstances, these errors are easily fixed. The easiest explanation is that the Vector Pro needs software to communicate with. So, if you turn on the Vector Pro without having VFit, VTeach or VRange launched, strange things may happen. Coincidentally, it could lock up the computer or make the Vector Pro unusable and rebooting the computer only may not fix the issue. 

To fix these errors, follow these steps:

1) Turn off the Vector Pro

2) Shut down any open programs on the computer

3) Reboot the PC.

4) Following the reboot, initiate the software

5) Then turn on the Vector Pro.
