Fitting - Can you really see the difference
In an industry where distance and direction are the most important factors to success, many club fitters claim that they can accurately fit a player by simply seeing ball flight. While general distance and direction are a good starting point, in golf, precision is the key to success.
A closer look at how small shifts in wind direction or differences in altitude can greatly affect the end result of a golf shot can help you to understand the importance of launch data. Did you know that a 5 mph cross wind will cause 7-8 yards of offline movement in a well fit driver, while it takes only 250 rpm of side spin to curve the ball the same distance? That means that 2 shots hit back to back with relatively similar characteristics can be as much as 30 yards apart. When you combine that data with the fact that only a 2 degree change in starting direction can negate all that movement you begin to understand the power of quality launch data.
AccuSport’s Vector Pro launch monitor contains numerous options within the Preferences screen to assist fitters with their particular environmental conditions. The modeling includes options for wind speed and direction, altitude, barometric pressure, humidity and others. Using these tools to emulate your course location and conditions can truly enhance a fitting session, bring science to merge with a fitter’s expertise and typically results in a more satisfied customer.

Medium for Irons: If you are having trouble capturing irons, especially at slower swing speeds, try going to the Advanced Mode and changing the Delay to Medium.
